So Steve Miller is the first confirmed non test blog running CFBloggy. Check out his blog here I must say he did a great job skinning it, very nice looking blog. Nice work Steve, if anyone else is running CFBloggy let me know.

Wow today is the first dirthday of my blog, seems like it just flew by. I haven't posted all month and I should be doing something but work has been busy and my wife is 8 months pregnant. So with getting the babies room ready, work, and spending time with my 6 year old son I haven't had time for anything. I do have a couple of new projects in mind and as soon as I have some time I'll start working on them.
As for CFBloggy I have a list of bug's I will be working on here soon, now that I'm running the latest version I have found a few. If anyone has any issues please email me them and I'll get them fixed up. I'm working on Version 2 when I have them time. Version 2 will have alot of the code cleaned up and the admin section will be using CFC's, the biggest features will be security. I'm going to test out a few other spam prevention methods, someone is posting comments that make no sense and is filled with links to sites.

I posted about updating my site with the newest version of CFBloggy, and I am working on it. I'm also going to release the layout for all to use. So if anyone is waiting for the JohnRamon.com layout it shouldn't be to long. To run the layout I have to update CFBloggy, but the good news is the default layout wil be rewriting to work with the new layout. I hope this doesn't mess up anyone's work, but it needs to be done.
P.S. this is post 99 next one is 100, a small milestone.

I updated CFBloggy tonight, there where alot of updates and fixes. I cleaned alot of the code up and created some new files. I updated the updates.txt file with all the updates, to many to list here. So grab a new copy and have fun. If you find any bugs please call the Orkin man, haha just kidding. Send me an email with what you found and I'll fix it.
Now that I'm done I will start the revamp of my personal site. I have received several requests for the JohnRamon.com template. I will turn it into a template for CFBloggy. Basically when I'm done all you have to to is download the zip and add the css and image files to your CFBloggy.

I have updated CFBloggy to support SQL and MySQL. I haven't updated the project page I still have to do lots of testing but things look good. I will be updating the project sometime this weekend. Also included in the update is the subscribe to post and remember me functions.
I also want to update the application.cfm if I have time. I have lots of stuff to do, and little by little I'll get it done. Keep an eye out on CFBloggy.com for bug reports and update releases.

CFBloggy has been release, yes I know if took almost a year and blah blah blah. It's kind of hard for a noob (maybe not a noob, but still feel like one) to release code to the wonderful ColdFusion community. I still feel a little self conscious about it, especially a project this big.
I know there are some bad coding practices, and lot's of no no's, but trust me I'll be fixing them little by little but the core of the application was writing 9 months ago. So as I have time I will be updating and posting them on CFBloggy.com. The first thing I will be working on here is the application.cfm.

So I just installed CFBloggy Version 1.0 on CFBloggy.com. I setup a project at RIAForge.org and am waiting for the project to be approved. I have worked long and hard on it and I hope it works out for anyone who downloads it.
Not that it won't work, hehe, but I learned alot writing it and I hope others learn something from it as well.

So little by little I've been working on the beta release of CFBloggy. With all the testing and rewriting of code it's coming along. One problem I have is my blog is running what most would call the Frankenstein version. I setup my blog to catch all errors and email them to me, need to keep the server admin happy. So I would say I get 1 to 2 bad errors every week. I go though them and find solutions and reasons why it happened. I also make sure the current version of CFB had the update, most of the time it did.

I have been working on CFBloggy every chance I get. I have my Advanced ColdFusion training in 2 weeks and they want us to bring any projects we are working on to go over in class. So I'm taking CFBloggy and LinkExchange, once I finished with class CFBloggy will be ready for release as beta.
I also hope to release Link Exchange, although I think I need to slim it down. I really think I made it to complicated, but then again maybe not. If anyone wants to help me with it let me know. Well back to work need to get some stuff ready for tomorrow, got to take care of our clients before I work on my stuff.
If ColdFusion has to get pages from
cheap dedicated servers, it may save you good time. After domain name registration, you can have your site's web space allocated. You also need to take care of the html or dynamic pages if you are looking for great
search engine ranking of your web pages. The downlaod time can be enhanced by using cable internet. If all this sounds too complicated then an oracle certification or 642-453 test would be a good option to consider.
