ColdFusion init Method and Getters/Setters in CFC

So I had my ColdFusion Advanced training and the book has one page on getters/setters. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this but I think I'm getting it. I'm going to put a test script together tomorrow and see if I can figure it out. I found a post explaining it and hope I can figure it out from that. If anyone has any good resources explaining it let me know.
